VOLUNTEERING
A Youth and Community Inspired Collaboration
Volunteering is essential to the empowerment and development of our youth, communites and to the success of Global Civic Preservation's programs and services. Your volunteer efforts strengthens the effectiveness of our programs and services and allows for GCP to be more efficient and effective in our local and global efforts. Volunteering with us allows for us to help more of our youth and communities and assists us in fulfilling our goals and objectives and the individual wellness of our youth and communities.
Volunteering is both exciting and rewarding, especially when utilizing your knowledge, skills and expertise to make a positive difference in the lives of others locally and / or globally. The reward is a mutual benefit that transcends to generations to follow.
Global Civic Preservation ask that all volunteers and potential volunteers commit to a six (6) month volunteering tenure. Once you've made an informed decision to volunteer with GCP, you will participate in a volunteer orientation once you've met the necessary requirements and have been approved to volunteer with us. Please review our volunteer requirements, volunteering process and complete and submit our on-line Volunteeri Sign-Up Form.
Volunteer Requirements

Must be 18 years of age or older to work in a capacity with children / youth (exception for administrative and other roles that arent directly working with youth).

Must submit a $20 fee and consent to a criminal background investigation if working directly with children / youth.

Commit to a six (6) month minimum volunteer tenure (minimum of 2 hours every two weeks).

Be reliable, dependable, honest and trustworthy

Must report to assigned coordinator, manager or director.

Must adheere to GCP policies and procedures.

Must complete required timesheets.
Volunteering Process

Search for a volunteering opportunity using our volunteering opportunity manager.

Complete the online volunteer form in its entirety

A GCP volunteer coordinator will contact you if there are positions that may be of interest where there is a good fit.

Complete and sign a Consumer Report and Disclosure and Authorization Form (Background Check)

If the Background Check is satisfactory, you may have a phone and / or face-to-face discussion / interview and will be asked to read, sign and return the Volunteer Agreement form and will be scheduled for a new volunteer orientation.

You may be asked to attend some training depending on your assigned role.
